Here lately thoughts have been crossing my mind about deleting my Facebook account. I have found that I spend way too much time on it and I'm just tired of trying to keep up with it all. Why don't I just delete it? Well it has become such a huge part of society that if I delete it, I feel like I could be missing out on something. Facebook is used to connect and communicate with others. So if someone is trying to plan a get -together, and they don't have my phone number, then typically I'll find a message on Facebook with all the plans and such. It's a bummer because I don't want to miss out on any big events, or lose connections with friends and family that live far away, but at the same time I'm finding it a hassle to just keep up with it all. I also realize that I somehow find my way to Facebook while I'm doing homework or trying to study. I feel like this could be a problem if I spend anymore time on it. I'm just growing tired of having to keep up with this new technology. I was talking to my friends the other day about how even though the new technology is great and all, it is taking over our lives way too much. Having to always constantly check our e-mails and cellphones and having to always carry them around gets a little old. Before college, I didn't have a laptop, I rarely checked my e-mail, and I didn't have my cellphone attached to my hip, and it was awesome. We just want to turn back the time to when we were younger and didn't have to worry about all of this, or maybe just make a get-away to where you can't use any technology, but to just enjoy the nature around you. Although technology has done wondrous things in this world and has made things faster, sometimes it's good to slow down and just enjoy every moment you are living.
